StockRoom & Oldham’s Old Library in the Running for Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce ‘Building of the Year’ Award 2025

We’re thrilled to share that two of our projects, StockRoom and Oldham’s Old Library, have been shortlisted for ‘Building of the Year’ 2025 at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce UK Awards!

StockRoom, delivered for Stockport Council, is an inclusive, multi-purpose community hub supporting learning, creativity, wellbeing and local business growth. The project, which forms part of the wider Merseyway Redevelopment Plan, incorporates low-energy, future-ready M&E solutions, aligning with Stockport Council’s ambitious carbon reduction goals.

Oldham’s Old Library, a landmark Grade II listed building, has been refurbished into a vibrant community heritage centre. Designed around its historic fabric, the building now includes exhibition spaces, conference and meeting rooms, a new council chamber and performance studios, ensuring long-term community use while preserving its architectural significance.

The aim of the ‘Building of the Year’ Award is to recognise outstanding buildings across Greater Manchester for their contribution to design excellence, community impact, sustainability, regeneration and economic benefit.

Managing Director, Daniel Madden commented, “Having both these projects shortlisted is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the collaborative effort behind them. StockRoom and Oldham’s Old Library show how thoughtful design and sustainable M&E solutions can transform communities. Congratulations to everyone involved.”

Winners will be announced at the Property and Construction Annual Dinner on 5th March 2026 at Manchester Hall.
