Stockroom shortlisted for prestigious Pineapple Award
StockRoom has been shortlisted for a prestigious Pineapple Award in the Community Space category, recognising projects that make an exceptional contribution to place and community life.
Delivered as part of the wider Merseyway Redevelopment Plan, Stockroom has been designed as a vibrant, multi-purpose community hub, offering spaces for learning, business support and essential public services. This includes birth registration facilities, a modern library, quiet study areas, creative and heritage spaces, family-friendly zones, a Changing Places facility, and flexible studios for performances, workshops and community events.
The result is a welcoming community hub that brings people together, encourages learning and creativity, and strengthens connections across the local community, while incorporating low-energy, future-ready MEP solutions that support Stockport Council’s ambitious carbon reduction goals.
Managing Director Daniel Madden commented: “Stockroom is a fantastic example of how thoughtful building design can help shape places that genuinely serve their communities. We’re incredibly proud to see the project recognised with this Pineapple Award shortlist, which is testament to the collaborative effort from the whole team behind it.”
