Stockport Homes HQ, Cornerstone

We were appointed to provide feasibility, option appraisal and performance and construction phase duties for the new corporate HQ for Stockport Homes. This 55,000sqft high specification office development included a visitors’ reception, canteen, meeting rooms, open plan offices and management offices and basement car parking with mechanical extract ventilation. The project is an exemplar low energy office development and incorporates low energy fan coil units linked to air source heat pumps, high efficiency ventilation with air quality sensors and speed control, daylight control to internal lighting and enhanced U-Values.
The building is EPC A rated and the design is based on BCO guidelines for flexibility and compartmentalisation. The building allows for future flexibility and includes designated meeting rooms providing flexibility for conferences, as well as enabling hot-desking.
The building was shortlisted for BCO Northern Workplace of the year 2018.
