Client: Pochin Developments & Radius Payment Solutions
We were employed by Pochin Developments Limited to provide strategic MEP design & cost advice together with performance duties for the M&E engineering services for this new BREEAM Very Good, 64,000sqft Grade A office development for Radius Payment Solutions.
The four-storey project at Crewe Business Park includes a gym, communal meeting areas and café.
Our Building & Energy Modelling Team supported our M&E engineers to deliver a Target Emission Rating of 25.8 and a Building Emission Rating of 17.5. The building scored a 32% improvement on Part L. It also achieved an EPC A Rating.
This was delivered with enhanced U values and enhanced solar glazing to reduce energy demand for heating & cooling. Heating and cooling was provided via high efficient heat pumps (COP heating 4.97 / cooling 6.29) serving ducted Fan Coil Units with heat recovery. Fresh air was provided from Variable Air Volume central plant with motorised dampers, air quality sensors & variable speed drive to provide only the requisite amount of fresh air and isolate unoccupied wings. The design also included LED lighting.
