Budget: £2.5m

Completed: 2013

S I Sealy provided the detailed Mechanical and Electrical engineering design for this two phase extension project onto an existing site with tight physical constraints.

Phase 1, which was completed in September 2011, was an extension on top of the existing building.  This extension included three classrooms and a new staff room, as well as a refurbished toilet block.

Phase 2, which was completed in October 2013, includes six classrooms with a link corridor and new toilet facilities.  This extension required new building services with a new plant room.  The extension was provided with underfloor heating and hot water from high efficiency/condensing boilers.  New classrooms were fitted with passive ventilators and reactive energy efficient lighting.

There is also a rooftop play are provided with modern lighting in accordance with the ILE guide to restricting light pollution.  These extensions were both built whilst the school was open to pupils.
