John began his career in 1977 as an Assistant Design Engineer and since then has worked on numerous projects across all sectors, including transport, commercial, retail, hotel and leisure, education, healthcare and extracare.  He joined S I Sealy in 2012.

John is highly experienced in providing the building services design for all types of buildings, including new build, refurbishments of listed and non-listed buildings, and extensions. His communication skills are a particular strength, allowing him to liaise closely with the client, the rest of the design team, contractors and key stakeholders.  This is particularly key when a project is a live building.  He has had a huge amount of experience of working on such projects, which required liaising closely with the client to ensure that minimum disruption occurs during the refurbishment works.

He has recently worked on a number of projects across the parliamentary estate, including the House of Commons and Palace of Westminster. He also worked on a project with Stoke Extra Care which involved the new build of three extra care residential facilities in Stoke, ranging from 75 to 175 apartments. John was responsible for the mechanical services design for all three projects.
